Registration Instructions

 


Before you begin, Capital Region asks that you please read through the following instructions:

 






Instructions for Online Registration

 


  1. If you have any questions before getting started, please do not contact the webmaster. Instead, please contact your district representative.

  2. Registration for the Capital Region tournament will be on the TexasDI website again this year. If you created a login last year, you can use it again. If not, you will need to create a login and password to the state site. You then will be able to add a team. If you have a co-manager, they will also need to have a login so that they can be listed as the co-manager.

  3. Feel free to create your login and add your team at any time. When you are ready to register, you will be able to logon and add your appraisers, click on the completed button, print your registration form and mail your payment.

  4. The registration fee is $50 per team if registered by Dec 12. DI eXtreme registration fee is $75 per team if registered by Dec 12. The registration fee for all teams registered after Dec 12 is $100. All teams must be registered by Jan 9.

  5. You must have a current membership number to register with Capital Region CPSO except DI eXtreme. DI eXtreme teams do not have membership numbers and will leave that field blank. If you do not have a current membership, check with your campus coordinator or district representative. If you are an independent team, you must logon to www.ShopDI.org to obtain a passport from Destination ImagniNation, Inc. unless your team is doing DI eXtreme.

  6. Your team is required to provide the names, phone numbers and email addresses of two individuals who will act as appraisers on the day of competition. These appraisers must attend the mandatory appraiser training on Feb 4. Your appraisers will be contacted within a week of registration to verify their contact information. Your registration will not be complete until they have been verified and have registered online at TexasDI.

  7. If you choose not to provide appraisers, you will be charged a penalty fee of $100 for each appraiser that you didn't provide.

  8. The state registration includes fields for "tournament helpers". We do not require teams to have tournament helpers so please leave these fields empty.

  9. Your team may enter their creative team name on the registration form unless your district has instructed you to use your official name. Please, include your school name in the name field. (i.e. Great Oaks Elem - Creative Monkeys)

  10. Text fields marked with an asterisk are required. Information must be entered in these fields.

  11. Age and grade level must be entered for all team members.

  12. Please double-check all information before you click on the completed button.

  13. You will be able to login and review your team's information. However, once you have clicked on the completed button, you will no longer be able to change anything.

  14. Reminder! Complete registration requires payment in full for all team and appraiser fees shown on the form postmarked by Dec 12, 2011 and verified appraisers. Late registration must be postmarked by Jan 9, 2012 and will cost $100. It is the team manager's responsibility to check the website to see that form and funds have been received by Capital Region CPSO. You will be notified if we don’t receive your funds with your registration or if your appraisers can't be verified!
